A family in Bungoma county is seeking justice for their high school son after a horrific ordeal at the hands of his peers.

Jeremy was allegedly attacked and seriously injured by three prefects who reportedly received orders from the deputy head teacher.
What happened to Jeremy leading to alleged attack?
The young man said he was accused of stealing a Bible, alongside four other students who were also severely punished by the prefects.
He shared the harrowing details of that fateful day, which left him with injuries all over his body.
“We were in class, studying with my friends and writing notes, when three prefects came for me and asked me to follow them. One slapped me and locked me in a room where they attacked me,” he said.
Jeremy explained that they were confined in a classroom while the prefects caned them using wires from computers, kicked them, and struck them repeatedly.
After the incident, Jeremy was expelled from the school, leaving his father stunned that the school would punish the victim.
He took his son to a dispensary for first aid and then rushed to the police station to report the incident, before taking him for further treatment at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital, where his wounds were dressed and he was given medication.

He shared that he had to transfer his son to another school and questioned how such an incident could happen while teachers allegedly covered it up.
Jeremy’s father is calling on the government to intervene, ensure his son receives justice, and prevent such incidents from happening again.
“He still goes for check-ups often because some of his injuries are yet to heal completely,” he stated.
