According to sources within the barracks, the tragic event occurred on September 22, 2025, when Mrs. Haruna, a nurse, confronted her husband over suspicions that he was having an affair.
The disagreement escalated until, in a moment of rage, she allegedly poured petrol on him and set him on fire.
When did Dr Samson Haruna wed?
Dr Haruna, who only joined the military in 2024 and got married in April 2025, sustained severe burns.
He was first rushed to the barracks clinic before being transferred to the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries despite medical efforts to save his life.
