Kiambu: CCTV Footage Captures 2 Men’s Bizarre Act in Stranger’s Shop in Middle of Night

CCTV surveillance footage has captured a strange and heartbreaking incident in Gathiga, Kabete, Kiambu county.

The bizarre act, which occurred in the middle of the night, left social media users shocked and divided.

The CCTV camera had been set up in the corner of a well-arranged shop selling clothes, jackets and shoes.

“Today, somewhere around Gathiga,” read the caption on the over three-minute-long video.

What time did robbery take place in Kiambu shop?

The footage showed a panoramic view of the boutique, which had its lights on at around 2am for security purposes.

Clothes were neatly arranged on hangers and well spaced across the room, while pairs of shoes were displayed on shelves.

A few minutes into the footage, two men were seen entering the boutique through the metallic door.

They both wore baseball caps and immediately began “shopping” without supervision, picking any item within reach.

How were alleged Kiambu thieves wearing?

One man wore a brown leather jacket, while the other had on an orange jumper and carried a blue paper bag as they spread out.

The man in the leather jacket began picking items near the door, including several pairs of shoes.

His accomplice was busy on the other end, also grabbing shoes and other items that could not be clearly seen from the camera angle.

They moved hurriedly, trying to be as stealthy as possible without making noise or unnecessary commotion.

What items were stolen from Kiambu boutique?

Since the shop was not that big, they were able to clear one section and move to the next quickly, leaving visible gaps after stealing the items.

They could be heard uttering words in their local dialect as they allegedly stole the goods in bulk.

Other items they took included college jackets, leaving none behind for the shop owner.

In their rush, they carried the jackets along with their hangers to save time and grab as much as possible.

They also picked several shirts before making their way out of the shop, closing the door behind them.

A few minutes later, they returned, this time, the man who had worn an orange jumper now had on a green one.

He went straight to the shirts section, carrying them in bulk with their hangers, as he had no time to separate them.

There were a few shirts he tried to grab, but gave up when he realised they were tightly stacked on a metallic frame.

Nairobi man captured stealing battery car

In another story, a man from Nairobi county reviewed footage from his CCTV camera set outside his compound.

The video captured the moment a stranger was caught on tape stealing a battery from a vehicle.

The thief was equipped with a toolbox and carried out the theft with ease and no pressure, completely unaware of the camera.
