Yoon, who was believed to have been in her early 20s, was known for her entertaining live sessions and engaging content, which earned her a loyal following of more than 300,000 fans on the platform.

What happened to Yoon Ji-ah?

According to The Mirror, Yoon was found dead on a mountainside just about 30 minutes after finishing her last livestream.

Police reports indicated that she was attacked just 30 minutes after ending the stream.

Further reports indicated that she was brutally assaulted and killed by one of her VIP fans, who later dumped her body in a suitcase.

Yoon had been filming herself on Yeongjong Island, Incheon in Korea, about a three-hour drive from where her body was discovered in a suitcase

Who is Yoon Ji-an’s alleged killer?

The main suspect so far is a man identified only as Choi, believed to be in his 50s.

Local media reports say Choi had introduced himself to Yoon as the CEO of an IT company and promised to help grow her social media career and presence as her business partner.

However, police later discovered that he had been living a double life.

Choi, who went by the nickname Black Cat, was known on similar livestream platforms as a big-spending VIP supporter.

He reportedly reached level 56 in gifting, which is said to have cost him at least KSh 9.1 million.

However, despite his flashy image, Choi was allegedly in debt, and his house had reportedly been seized through a forced auction, according to local media.

Reports further suggested that Yoon wanted to end her relationship with him because of his controlling demands and unreasonable schedules.

Did police arrest Yoon Ji-ah’s alleged killer?

According to Korean outlet Chosun Biz, CCTV footage captured Choi begging on his knees for Yoon not to cut ties with him shortly before her death.

Yoon’s family later revealed that camera footage showed her being prevented from leaving a car, with the door seen slamming shut.

Her body was later found dumped in a grassy area on a mountain in Muju County.

An autopsy later confirmed that she died from asphyxiation due to neck compression.

Chosun Biz further reported that Choi had been seen around the time of her disappearance carrying a suitcase towards the mountain, stopping several times on his way, seemingly due to the weight.

Police arrested him 12 hours after Yoon’s body was found. He initially denied being involved in the brutal act but later confessed to killing her.

Did Konstantin Ganich die?

In other news, Ukrainian crypto investor and blogger Konstantin Ganich was recently discovered dead inside his luxury car in Kyiv.

Police reportedly recovered a registered firearm beside his body, which was taken in as evidence as police launched investigations into the circumstances of his death.

Ganich, known online by his alias Kudo, died on the same day the crypto market suffered a major crash, with reports indicating he may have lost millions in the downturn.
