What did Rashid Abdalla say about marriage?
During a recent live broadcast, Rashid surprised many when he claimed that everyone lies to get married.
The Kiswahili news anchor shared a light-hearted story from his early dating days with Lulu, recalling how she once took him for a date at an Indian restaurant.
He humorously revealed that after the date, he suffered stomach aches because of the food, but when Lulu called to ask how it was, he lied and said everything was fine so as not to upset her.
“If you are a very truthful person, you will not get married or marry. You have to lie either in your words or actions. Someone can tell you about someone else and say they were just classmates, while in reality, they were lovers, just to avoid upsetting you,” he explained.
When Lulu teasingly asked if he had lied to her to win her over, Rashid cleverly dodged the question.
Rashid went on to make another cheeky comment, saying that a woman should avoid marrying a man who does not love women.
