Kimathi Mworia had jokingly shared on his Facebook that those who scored less than a B+ in Chemistry or an A- in Maths would not get invites to his wedding, and many clapped back, asking whether he got such grades in those two subjects.
In a Facebook post, Mworia decided to silence his fans by unleashing his KCSE certificate to prove that he scored the grades he was asking of his future wedding attendees.
“For those who said that I will not be at my wedding, come here. The rule remains: Chemistry B+ or Maths A-. Or just have an overall grade of an A minus,” he hilariously captioned his KCSE certificate.
What did Mworia score in his KCSE?
Going by the KCSE certificate that he shared, Mworia had an overall grade of an A minus after sitting for his exams at the Chogoria Boys in 2011.
His certificate showed he had clean As in Geography and Business studies and an A minus in Biology. He had a B+ in English, Swahili, Chemistry and Mathematics and a B minus in Physics.
When TUKO.co.ke reached out to him for a comment, Mworia, a fashionpreneur, noted that he shared the certificate for fun.
“It has always been a joke. It’s not the first post to tell them they need those grades to attend my wedding,” he stated.
Mworia said each time he jokingly shared that he would only invite those with impeccable grades, many would sneer back at him, asking him whether he scored the same grades.
“I often noted many comments like, “ata wewe hautakuwa kwa hiyo wedding “, meaning I don’t have those grades. So this last post I decided to post the certificate itself. Just like for fun. Not show off or anything,” he said.
He revealed that his followers fondly call him fundi because he is in the business of tailor-made suits in Meru.
“I am currently pursuing a master’s degree and finance and Investments at the KCA University. But I decided to start a business in tailor-made suits. Meru, after seeing many people struggle to get well-tailored suits in Meru,” he added.
