Students from St. Francis Rang’ala Girls High School showcased their talent as they sang a heartfelt rendition of a popular song.
The young girls created their own version of Wimbo wa Historia to honour the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader.

The song began from the day Kenyans received the news of Raila’s death, which shook the nation.
From mothers and fathers to children, everyone mourned the demise of the iconic political figure.
They asked their Maker to lay his soul in a good place in paradise after running his race and keeping his faith.

Raila to be buried in private ceremony
In another story, Raila’s elder brother, Oburu Oginga, shared the family’s plans for the burial of their loved one.
The Senator of Siaya county disclosed that the family would hold a private ceremony on Sunday, October 19.
Raila, a former Prime Minister, had wished to be buried 72 hours after his death, a wish the family plans to honour.
However, one wish that could not be granted was to be buried next to his mother, as the family noted there was no space beside her grave.
Oburu shared that only a few invited guests would be able to attend the burial ceremony.
Several Kenyans expressed their disappointment with the decision, as they had hoped to attend and pay their last respects.
