The two were married for over five decades, and he wasn’t just her husband but her partner and confidant.
Raila’s grieving wife hailed him as her greatest supporter, and she had thought they would grow old and retire together.
The former prime minister was still active in politics.
She said:
“For over five decades, you weren’t just my husband, you were my partner, my confidant, my greatest supporter. I had dreamed of retiring together, of growing old hand in hand, sharing quiet sunsets and dreams fulfilled. But now, I realise life’s plans are in the hands of a higher power.
