Nairobi county senatorial seat aspirant Johanes Bolo is counting his blessings after surviving a grisly road accident while travelling to attend Raila Odinga’s burial in Bondo after he passed away on October 15.

The incident happened on the night of Saturday, October 18, as Bolo was driving his luxury BMW SUV towards Bondo for the final farewell ceremony of the late ODM leader.

According to videos and images seen by TUKO.co.ke, Bolo’s vehicle collided with a Mercedes-Benz lorry, leaving his BMW completely wrecked.

The bonnet and driver’s side were heavily damaged, while the lorry’s bumper sustained significant impact.
Despite the extensive damage, Bolo miraculously escaped unharmed.
In a post shared on social media from his hospital bed, the politician confirmed that he, along with his security and media team, walked out alive.
“I got involved in an accident while on my way to attend Raila’s burial with my security and media person. The same morning before we started, we prayed and truly prayer works, we came out alive,” he wrote.
He added that fellow mourners who were also en route to Bondo rushed him to Aga Khan Hospital for medical attention.
“I was the one driving, and we managed to come out without any major injuries. The car is a write-off and insurance will cover it, but my life no one could cover. God is good, prayer works, be a prayerful person,” he added.
More videos showed him being taken into a CT scan machine and another with him sitting in a wheelchair. Later, he was discharged and captured boarding a plane back to Nairobi.
