Tanzanian divers’ comforting messages to Kenyans

The first diver held a placard that read:

“Urgent message to the world,” followed by several others that spoke of Raila’s impact:

  • “Today we mourn a great leader.”
  • “Rest in peace Raila Odinga.”
  • “Your spirit lives on in the hearts of millions.”
  • “Let’s not mourn him with tears alone.”
  • “But by continuing his message of peace, love, and justice.”

The final placard, adorned with the Kenyan flag, was held by a diver as two others joined him in the tribute, with the message concluding: “With love from Tanzania.”

This heartfelt tribute touched many Kenyans, who expressed their appreciation and found comfort in the kind gesture.

Tanzanian content creator Yess Jamal shared the video on Instagram, accompanied by the caption:

“To the people of Kenya, and to all who mourn the loss of Raila Amolo Odinga, We extend my deepest condolences. His contributions to the nation will not be forgotten. From Kenya 🇰🇪 to every corner of the continent, his vision will never die.”
