A video of Raila Odinga’s bodyguard Maurice Ogeta and his family laying wreaths on his grave has left many with mixed reactions.

The trained security officer had been serving Raila for 18 years and was with him in India where he died.
The last video of the former prime minister walking at the Indian medical facility displayed Ogeta following closely behind him.
However, at Raila’s burial in Kang’o Ka Jaramogi, Ogeta had a moment to lay flowers at his boss’ grave site.
Does Raila’s bodyguard Ogeta have a family?
He was joined by his family who held his hand as they said goodbye to the longest serving politician.
In a video that was shared on TikTok by @Jarunda Jaluth Mambobiad, Ogeta was surrounded by three ladies.
One was dressed in an orange dress while the others had all-black outfits. At one point, one held his hand and as they walked away, he also held another lady’s hand.
They all surrounded him as they walked back to the seats, leaving Kenyans admiring him for how he still managed to handle his family despite being Raila’s bodyguard.

In a different report, Raila’s bodyguard, broke down in tears as he viewed the late leader’s body lying in Parliament.
He was seen weeping uncontrollably while being comforted by Narok Senator Ledama Ole Kina.
Moved by the emotional moment, Ruto approached Ogeta, embraced him, and offered words of comfort.
