Kansiime and Skylanta served couple goals for days and always left many envying their relationship. The two dated for five years and were blessed with a son, Jayden Sellasie, before announcing they were no longer together.
Why did Anne Kansiime break up with Skylanta?
In March, Kansiime revealed that their relationship ended long before they made it public. Kansiime hooked up with Sky in 2018, months after breaking up with her first husband, Gerald Ojuok.
The mother of one revealed that her perspective on love and relationship changed after welcoming her son. In a video she shared on her Instagram, she said:
“The dynamic of our relationship changed when I had our son. I started expecting more from him, things I never asked for before. I wanted to be everything for our child, but I also wanted a partner who was equally invested in that journey. The kind of love I needed transformed, and it became clear that we were no longer aligned.”
She disclosed that their separation was a painful process.
“It was tough. We went through a heartbreaking phase, but we’ve come out stronger. There were hurt feelings, but with time, we’ve come to understand and accept it,” Kansiime said.
The award-winning comedienne shared that she and her baby daddy had made peace and agreed to co-parent their son.
