In a statement from Defence Headquarters, the military confirmed that successful applicants will report for interviews and selection starting in November through December 2025 at designated military centres.
Where will shortlisted KDF candidates report?
The list, published on Friday, October 24, contains the names and identification numbers of hundreds of successful applicants across all 47 counties.

It represents a diverse mix of professions and academic qualifications, reflecting KDF’s ongoing effort to attract skilled and disciplined Kenyans into the military.
According to the notice, shortlisted candidates for the GSO Cadet (Graduate) category will report to the Kenya Military Academy, Lanet, Nakuru, on Monday, November 24, at 8am.
Those shortlisted under the GSO Cadet (Regular) category are expected to report to the same venue on Monday, December 1.
Specialist Officers, who include professionals such as engineers, doctors, and IT experts, will report to Lanet on Monday, December 8, while the Tradesmen and women are expected at the Ulinzi Sports Complex, Lang’ata, Nairobi, on Monday, November 3.
The notice stressed that all candidates must bring their original National ID, academic and professional certificates, Curriculum Vitae, and four copies of each document.
Is the KDF recruitment free and transparent?
Further, candidates are also advised to carry warm clothing since the selection process will take several days.
KDF stated that food and accommodation will be provided during the interview period, and unsuccessful candidates will be reimbursed.
“Food and accommodation will be provided throughout the interview period. Unsuccessful candidates will be reimbursed travel expenses in accordance with KDF Regulations. Candidates are advised to carry warm clothing,” read the notice in part.
KDF reiterated that the recruitment process is free and open to all qualified Kenyans, warning against any form of bribery or corruption.
“The Kenya Defence Forces recruitment drive is free and open to all eligible and qualified candidates. Engaging in bribery or any form of corruption to influence the recruitment process is a criminal offence. Any person found engaging in recruitment-related malpractice will be arrested and prosecuted,” the statement read.

The Defence Headquarters urged all shortlisted candidates to verify their details and adhere strictly to the reporting timelines and requirements.
