The deceased, Monica, was allegedly killed by her husband in her house under unclear circumstances.
Monica, a mother of one little girl, was found lifeless by a neighbour who recounted the sad ordeal.
The neighbour was on the brink of tears as she claimed that Monica was allegedly strangled by the suspect.
Nakuru woman enters Monica’s house
“My electricity token had run out, and I had some of her papers for her boiled egg business. I was going to her house to top up my tokens and deliver the papers. I found the door locked from the outside. When I entered, I found Monica’s little daughter and asked her where her mum was. She told me her mum was inside.
I called her, but she did not respond. I went into the room and found her lying there. I called her several times, but she did not respond. I immediately got out and went to my other neighbour. I told her to go check on Monica because she was not waking up and had something on her neck,” the woman said.
Another neighbour who worked as a mama fua for Monica recounted getting into the deceased’s house.
She was on her way from prayers when she was asked to go to Monica’s house and was shattered by what she saw.
Monica left with marks on neck
“She had some marks on her neck. It was not good at all,” she cried.
Monica was allegedly killed in front of her daughter, who was later rescued when police arrived at the scene.
Another witness urged couples to resolve their conflicts amicably or seek the intervention of a mediator before matters lead to tragedy.
“Wherever the man is, please, we ask him to come out of hiding. It is a very painful experience. A little girl has been left behind,” he said.
