The philanthropic basketballer is known for giving back to his community, and events that led to him losing his car have shocked netizens.

According to Page Six, the Range Rover specially modified to accommodate the 7’1″ basketball legend has reportedly gone missing.

The publication reported that sources suspect the vehicle was stolen after a car transport company fell victim to a hacker attack.

The luxury SUV, which was being customised by Effortless Motors in a project expected to raise its value to around KSH 39 million ($300,000), was shipped from Atlanta to Louisiana but never arrived at its destination.

When Effortless followed up, they discovered the car had disappeared somewhere along the route.

Investigators believe cybercriminals may have hacked into the transport company’s system to intercept details about the pick-up and drop-off, allowing them to reroute Shaq’s prized ride. Effortless Motors is now offering a KSh 1.3 million ($10,000) reward for information leading to the car’s recovery.

According to reports, vehicle thefts during transport are becoming increasingly common, with a similar case earlier this year involving a Rolls-Royce stolen after its delivery address was altered.

Authorities say Shaq is now working closely with police to recover his customised jet-black Range Rover.

Did Shaquille pay school fees for his friends?

In a different report, Shaquille warmed hearts online after revealing that he paid for a master’s degree program for 15 of his friends.

The NBA legend explained that the course he wanted to pursue was only available online, but he preferred attending in person and had to meet the minimum number of students required for a physical class.

Social media users praised his generosity and wished they could one day have the means to uplift their friends the same way.

He has also, in the past, paid for dinner for a whole restaurant while on a date, leaving people excited by his generosity.
