Elizabeth Rukia Jumaa, a Form Four student at Bale Secondary School, was eagerly awaiting to sit for the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).

The devastating news of her death was announced by the family on social media, sparking an outpouring of grief and condolences.

How did Elizabeth Rukia Die?

Rukia reportedly collapsed at home one night after complaining of a headache, and despite her family not having reported any prior illness, her sudden passing left them in shock.

Her body was moved to a mortuary in Kilifi, as her relatives began preparing for her burial.

She was laid to rest on 25th October in her village in Sokoke, with schoolmates, friends, and villagers gathered to bid her farewell and offer comfort to the family.

“I had already started wishing you success in your exams, but now we are all forced to say rest in peace,” shared one of her relatives.

Relatives and netizens shared heartfelt condolences, with many expressing how painful it was to see her dreams and future cut short.

How did Kilifi Grade 8 girl die?

Previously, TUKO.co.ke reported that a Grade Eight pupil in Kilifi passed away a week after being punished by her teacher.

Anestine Dzidza Tunje was reportedly struck on the head by the teacher and later complained of severe headaches.

Following her death, a post-mortem examination revealed that she died as a result of internal bleeding caused by blunt force trauma to the head.
