Bien has been pushing beyond limits, which has seen him get an interview spot on America’s hip-hop radio station, Breakfast Club Show and on Colours.
At one point, Kenyans on social media started a campaign to help Bien raise the number of his followers so he can continue pushing his music to many people.
Being managed by his wife, Chiki Kuruka, has also elicited mixed reactions, with some commending her for the good work while others accusing her of contributing to Sauti Sol’s split.
What does Nancy Baraza like about Bien?
His mother, Baraza, served shortly as DCJ before she was involved in a scandal where she was accused of pinching a guard’s nose.
This led to a public outcry about her behaviour, which forced her to step down from the position and later lead a quiet life.
In an interview with Citizen Digital, she was asked if she listens to her son’s music, and she gave an affirmative answer.
“I listen to Bien very much. He sings well. And I am very proud of his music. Bien of Sauti Sol, Bien Aime Baraza Alusa. He is a wonderful musician. I love his music and I love his dancing,” she said.
Baraza also ended up sharing other genres of music that she listens to, which excited netizens.
“I listen to Lingala, to Franco’s music quite a lot. I listen to Nigerian music a lot. I also listen to church music. I love music,” she said.

How much did Bien’s wedding cost?
Elsewhere, Bien once revealed that he deliberately sent out his wedding invitations just two days before the ceremony to keep the guest list small.
He said the wedding was attended by only 50 people, and they all included close friends who had at some point shared a meal in his home.
The singer added that he spent KSh 300,000 on the event, and top artistes like Nameless and Nyashinski performed for the small crowd.
