Should men send women fare?
Relationship expert Allan Lawrence advised women to have their own money and not depend on me, opining that when one provides for you financially, it is easy for them to manipulate you.
“If a man has to facilitate and finance your movement and lifestyle. He will feel entitled, and you will be no different from furniture in his house or anything they own. That’s why as a woman, be empowered and make your own money so that no one will do things to you and make it look like it is a big favour that they can bossy you around! Remember who feeds and finances you can easily manipulate you,” he said.
Lawrence continued:
“Ladies, kindly note there’s nothing like just jamming on low-hanging fruits, they will cost you more than you think, let a man view you not through the lenses of bedroom prowess, but what you can offer in the boardroom and marketplace not just bedroom! So if he’s sending you fare, it is for what? Unless otherwise, never allow a man to send you fare just for you to be there! A real man will want to see you empowered and in your element, not creating a dependent syndrome in you. Empower yourself as a woman to avoid cheap, embarrassing moments. Having your own money gives you high bargaining power.”
The relationship expert also said that men can be kind and generous to women without expecting anything in return.
” You can be financially kind to a woman without expecting anything in return. Any lady you meet older than you, treat them as your mum. Anyone at your age help them like your own elder sister, younger than you, see them as your daughter,” he said.
Is eating fare illegal in Kenya?
Recently, TUKO.co.ke reported that Kenyan women were overjoyed after Senior Resident Magistrate Tabitha Mbugua, who serves as an adjudicator at the Eldoret Small Claims Court, revealed that the court doesn’t handle cases of eating men’s fare.
In an interview with NTV, the magistrate was quick to dismiss the matter as something unworthy of the court’s intervention.
