In a heartfelt post on her social media pages, Muthoni said she made the decision after careful thought and discussions with close friends and family.
Why Muthoni posted Till number
The former Inooro TV presenter noted that she had decided to share her till number with friends and family to help her get the car back.
“I know many of us have faced similar challenges, and your support, no matter how small, will truly make a difference,” she wrote.
Muthoni went viral on Sunday, November 2, when she revealed that her car had been repossessed for the second time this year.
The disclosure sparked a wave of empathy and support across social media, many of whom praised her for being vulnerable in the face of trouble.
This is because few public figures are willing to openly share their struggles in an era where social media often demands perfection.
Muthoni’s appeal draws mixed reactions online
While some fans applauded her courage to seek help, others expressed concern about the growing trend of public figures seeking financial help from their followers.
They opined that a car is a luxury in Africa, and insisting on driving when you can’t afford is living beyond your means.
Still, many of her loyal supporters rallied behind her, encouraging fellow Kenyans to contribute and reminding critics that life’s struggles spare no one.
Muthoni, who has been open about her ups and downs throughout 2025, continues to receive an outpouring of messages.

A tumultuous year
The repossession adds another layer of trouble to what has already been a challenging year for the Kikuyu gospel singer and minister.
Earlier in April, a video showing Muthoni wiping her phone on the dress of upcoming musician Stella Wangari went viral, sparking a heated debate online.
While some viewed the act as disrespectful, others defended her, calling it a harmless moment between the media personality and her mentee.
