A popular TV and radio presenter is dead. The celebrated journalist and sports pundit has been described as talented, kind and generous.

His death comes weeks after another African TV presenter was shot dead at her residence. Sommie Maduagwu was killed in a home robbery attack. Her death sparked mixed reactions across the globe, with many calling upon the Nigerian police to bring her killers to book.

Master Tindwa died on October 30, and his employer, Clouds Media House, shared details of his death, leaving his fans heartbroken.

According to Tanzanian media sources, Tindwa was allegedly shot during the recent post-election protests while outside his gate.

Although CloudsFM, the goner’s employer, didn’t share the cause of his death, they posted a photo of him accompanied by heartfelt condolences to his family.

“Clouds Media Group regrets to announce the death of its former Master Tindwa Mtopa, which occurred on October 30, and was buried on November 3, 2025 at Mama Kibonge Cemetery in Buza, Dar es Salaam. Clouds Media Group extends its condolences to the family, relatives, friends and all those affected by this tragedy and we pray to God to grant Master Tindwa’s soul a peaceful rest in heaven,” read the media house’s message.

What were Master Tindwa’s last moments?

Hours before his death, after the Tanzania elections, Tindwa was on air, discussing the local football league.

The journalist shared a video alongside his co-host sharing their opinions on the Tanzanian Premier League.

The media personality was laid to rest on November 3, at the Mama Kibonge public cemetery in Buza, Dar es Salaam.

In a separate story, politician and content creator Fernanda Maroca was found dead inside her house near São Luís in Brazil.
