Nairobi, Kenya: David Brian Ajwang, the oldest son of the late Otieno Kajwang, cracked ribs at his late mother’s requiem mass held in Nairobi with his endearing introduction of his wife.

Rose, a respected lecturer and former head of the Kenyatta University alumni body, had been ailing for a while.
The highly educated woman previously shared the beautiful love story of how she met the late senator, a romance that began on a bus ride in Buruburu.
Why did Brian thank the Kisii people?
Brian intimated that his wife is from Kisii and even went ahead and thanked his in-laws from the tribe for giving him the ideal wife, whom he loved with all of his heart.

“In life, I was blessed. I would like to thank the people from Kisii. I would like to recognize my sweetheart, intelligent, beautiful wife,” he said while calling her to the front to give her tribute.
The young beauty walked to the podium with confidence and shared about the relationship she had with the late Rose.
“I have known Rose for years; she was my mother-in-law. She was strong, very beautiful, and resilient. I got to know her more in sickness as I took care of her, and she fought with strength and dignity,” she said.
“I got to know that she loved me, and I loved her too. I pray that God helps us navigate this loss.”

On his part, Brian praised his dear mum as a strong, beautiful, and intelligent woman, and she knew it. He praised his mum for how she stood by him when he had lost his way and was abusing alcohol, but he has since changed and embraced Christ. His mission is now to introduce Jesus to other people.
The couple also introduced their four children to the congregation, with the older one talking about how she saw her grandmother in pain, but she was now glad that her grandmother is no longer in pain.

Brian shares how dad’s death affected him
In a previous story, it emerged that when Kajwang’ died in 2014, after suffering a cardiac arrest and many Kenyans were left in shock, but his son was so affected that he became an alcoholic.
