The Brazilian influencer, Barbara Jankavski, had amassed a loyal following through her cosmetic journey, with over 50,000 followers on Instagram and 344,000 on TikTok.
How did Barbara die?
According to reports from The Mirror, Barbara was found unresponsive at her home in São Paulo, Brazil.
First responders attempted to revive her but were unsuccessful. Police have launched an investigation into her death, registering it as suspicious.
A close friend of Barbara, who was reportedly at her home just hours before her death, revealed that she had injured her eye earlier that day.
This injury was linked to her recent facelift surgery. In a post before her passing, Barbara had shared a selfie showing black eyes from the procedure, writing:
“Day 3 of the facelift. Improving way too fast! Almost invisible scar,” explaining that the injuries were not as serious as they seemed.
Barbara’s cosmetic journey to look like a Barbie doll had reportedly cost her over KSh 7 million.
Beyond social media, she also made appearances on Brazilian television and in advertisements, further cementing her fame.
Despite her significant following, Barbara had not posted on Instagram since October 1, when she shared a video of meeting another Brazilian influencer.
