A South Sudanese family in Kenya has been left devastated and in mourning following the tragic death of their relative in Malindi, Kilifi county.

Regina Ayen passed away under mysterious circumstances, leaving her family with more questions than answers.

She was allegedly trying to run away from her mzungu lover when she sadly met her fate.

Ayen reportedly tried to escape by climbing over a gate that had sharp metal spikes, which fatally struck her.

She allegedly remained trapped on the gate through the night until morning, when she was found still alive.

Ayen rushed to hospital after accident

The young woman was rescued and rushed to the hospital, where she unfortunately succumbed to her injuries.

Doctors later established that her cause of death was excessive bleeding resulting from the metal wounds.

Her family was immediately informed of her passing and rushed to the medical facility.

The police were also briefed on what had transpired and have since launched an investigation into the tragic incident.

Ayen’s family praises police

Ayen’s family said they would cooperate fully with the security agencies to understand what led to the death of their South Sudanese relative.

“The gate had very sharp spikes. Ayen tried to jump over the main gate, but she slipped accidentally and the spikes pierced her right thigh,” Daniel Chacha, Deputy Police Commander said.

Ayen’s family member, David Rachur, expressed appreciation for the police’s quick response and commitment to investigating the matter.

“We appreciate the leadership of the police and what they have done for us so far. As the deputy police commander said, we will leave the matter in the hands of the DCI. We will continue cooperating with them as a family,” he said.

Kenyan TikToker splits with mzungu lover

In another story, a male Kenyan TikToker opened up about his painful split with his mzungu lover.

TikTok user Deroh Otieno had previously flaunted the mzungu man on his account, hinting at a possible breakup.

He had been posting videos featuring the man, leaving Kenyans speculating about their relationship.

One video captured Otieno dancing to a popular hit song while serving his mzungu partner a glass of juice.

In another, the two appeared to be on a date, with a waiter guiding Otieno on where to sit in a posh restaurant.

Otieno later shared an update in another TikTok video, noting that all was not well between him and the mzungu man.

He appeared alongside a female friend as he sang along to an emotional Bongo song that reflected his heartbreak.
