Identified as Pastor John, the cleric appealed to the MP for assistance in acquiring a means of transport, citing difficulties in reaching his ministerial destinations.
How Oscar Sudi came to pastor’s rescue
The pastor was among the mourners attending the funeral of a teacher on Saturday, 8 November, in Mosoriot, Nandi County.
Sudi was also present, alongside other political leaders.
When given the opportunity to speak, the MP responded affirmatively.
He offered to purchase a motorcycle for Pastor John, which would now serve as his primary mode of transport for pastoral work, ending the challenges he faced walking from home to church and other locations.
How much will Pastor John’s motorbike cost?
The MP handed over KSh 160,000 to the pastor and added KSh 10,000 to cater for fuel and insurance costs.
“I have the pastor who requested a motorcycle. I had considered postponing until Monday because I planned to purchase it and invite him to my home to collect it, but I’ve reconsidered, because I know he may not have peace of mind until then. So I have the money ready for the motorcycle. One costs KSh 160,000, and this one here is KSh 170,000; the extra amount will cover fuel and insurance,” Sudi said.
The MP further promised to enhance the pastor’s wardrobe by donating several suits.
Sudi expressed admiration for John’s outgoing nature and the hardworking spirit he embodies.
“I will also give him four pairs of suits so he can look smart. When you help someone, you do it completely. I always see him at functions; he’s interactive, sociable, and hardworking. I’ll give him the suits, shirts, shoes, and socks,” Sudi promised.
This would add to other charitable causes by Sudi.

The 19-year-old, Habiba Jattani, met the legislator during an economic empowerment forum led by Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, where she opened up about her dream of pursuing higher education and the financial barriers holding her back.
Deeply moved by her story and the tough conditions her family faces, her father juggling work as a herder by day and a night guard, Sudi pledged to sponsor her university education.
The MP made good on his promise and later confirmed that Habiba had successfully enrolled at KCA University to pursue a degree in Business Information Technology, with all expenses covered through his personal support.
Sharing the news, Sudi praised Habiba’s resilience and ambition, expressing his joy in helping her take the next step in her academic journey.
