There has been an outpouring of messages of condolence after gospel musician Betty Bayo’s passing.

The musician died while receiving treatment at Kenyatta National Hospital. According to the family, she had been diagnosed with blood cancer.

What was Betty Bayo’s cryptic message?

She had been unwell for the past two weeks and was moved to KNH on November 7.

On October 19, Bayo noted that people had good things to say about someone only when they die.

“People have good things to say about you, but you have to die first,” she wrote:

On October 20, the musician assured her followers that they would be among Kenyans who would cross over to 2026.

“You will not die this year,” she said.

In her last cryptic post, Bayo assured her fans that ‘rest in peace’ would not be their portion in 2025.

The musician’s post went viral after her death, with some wondering whether she was sharing a premonition.

“Rest in peace. None of this will be your portion this year in Jesus’ mighty name, amen,” she wrote.
