The death of gospel singer Betty Bayo has plunged her family, friends, and fans into mourning.

The celebrated 11th Hour hitmaker passed away on Monday, November 11, at around 1:00 p.m. after a battle with leukaemia.
According to her family, who spoke during a press conference at Kenyatta National Hospital, Betty succumbed to excessive bleeding caused by blood cancer.
Speaking on their behalf, Murang’a County Woman Representative Betty Maina confirmed the heartbreaking news, explaining that doctors had done their best.
How did Sky take news of her mum’s death?
Tears flowed at the facility when Betty’s daughter, Sky, arrived and was met by her mother’s close friend and fellow gospel singer, Shiru wa GP.
She had been at school, sitting for her ongoing national exams and arrived still in her school uniform.
Her father, Pastor Victor Kanyari, was also seen holding her gently, offering comfort and support as she grieved the painful loss.
Betty and Kanyari shared two children together, and her passing has united the family once again in mourning.
