The fallen gospel singer’s body was moved from Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH), where she breathed her last on Monday, November 10.

The 11th Hour crooner and loving mother had been ill for a while, battling cancer that eventually overwhelmed her.

News of her passing broke hearts across the nation and beyond, as friends, family, and colleagues penned emotional messages consoling the bereaved and mourning Betty.

As her body was moved to KU Referral, mourners turned up in large numbers for the emotional moment, standing in solidarity with the grieving family.

Karangu Muraya’s addresses mourners

Celebrities, including Shiru wa GP, and philanthropists such as Karangu Muraya, were among those present to support self-proclaimed prophet Kanyari and his family.

Before Betty’s body arrived, Karangu addressed mourners and bloggers present, making a humble request while giving a stern warning to anyone who would not adhere to it.

“Because of the condition of Betty’s body, for those of us who are live or recording, let’s not record. If anyone records, it will be deleted,” he said, with his request being warmly received.

The order was given before the body was wheeled into the morgue to prepare mourners in advance.

A TikTok video capturing the moment showed a snippet of a live recording as they prepared to receive Betty’s body.
