Renowned media personality Lulu Hassan has responded to the peculation regarding her interest in pursuing a political career in the upcoming 2027 general elections.

Is Lulu Hassan eying Mvita MP seat?
Speculation regarding the popular journalist’s political aspirations commenced in May when T-shirts featuring her likeness began to appear online.
The shirts, adorned with the phrase Mama Mvita, prominently displayed Lulu’s face.
The slogan Mama Mvita particularly captured interest as it resonated with political branding frequently utilized by female leaders to foster emotional connections with voters, prompting many to speculate that Lulu may be considering a bid for the Mvita Constituency parliamentary seat in the forthcoming 2027 elections.
Lulu Hassan’s response on viral bilboard, MP bid
On Tuesday, November 11, the subject reemerged after Alinur Mohamed shared a billboard with Lulu’s image on X.
The bilboard appeared to have been mounted on an electricity post on a street.
It had orange colour and refered to Lulu as Mama Mvita.
Sharing this bilboard on social media, Alinur stated that Lulu was likely going to run on an ODM ticket due to the orange colour.
“It looks like Lulu Hassan might be vying with ODM Party for the MP position in Mvita constituency. Notice the colours,” Alinur wrote.
The post sparked different reactions from his fans, with majority appearing to have been convinced.

Lulu clarified that the bilboard was fake and had been generate using the Artificial Intelligence (AI).
“No, this is AI,” the soft-spoken media personal clarified as she laughed.
When asked whether the claims that she will be quiting newsroom to join politics were true, the media personality dismissed them.
“Aiiii wuehh hapana,” this was Lulu’s reponse, to the question of whether she will join politics or not.
Will Trevor Ombija vie for Nyakach MP?
Previously, Citizen TV’s Trevor Ombija announced his plans to contest for the Nyakach parliamentary seat in the upcoming 2027 elections.
