Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Cecilia Gicharu explained that an accident occurred in the house on October 27, affecting a mother and her daughter.

The two were rushed to Kiambu Hospital, given first aid, and on October 28, they were transferred to Kenyatta Hospital.

“On November 7, the young girl died, exactly 10 days after the incident; she had inhaled a lot of gas that was leaking. Initially, we did not tell the girl’s mother because we were afraid that her blood pressure would go up, but we have since told the ailing woman,” she said.

“By the time we were leaving the hospital, she needed a lot of care because her blood pressure had gone up,” she said.

Cecilia said that the woman is still in the hospital under the care of her sister. The sisters do not have parents, and their relatives are allegedly hostile to them.

How much has Kiambu family raised?

“The bill is too high, and as friends, we have managed to raise small amounts, which total less than KSh 30,000. The daughter is in the mortuary while her mother is still recovering in the same hospital,” explained Cecilia.

“We are appealing for your help so that we can clear both the mother’s and daughter’s hospital bills,” she pleaded,

SHA paid KSh 44,000 out of KSh 240,000 for the daughter, but for the mother, the bill keeps escalating.

As of now, the bill is so high, and the family needs help to give the daughter a befitting send-off.

“The sister of the ailing mother is the one handling the matter. Kindly, they need your help. We have reported the matter to Ndumberi police station, and we have the OB,” said Cecilia.

Bungoma mum cries for help to treat young son

In another story, a man who was the breadwinner of his family was stranded at home because of an underlying medical condition.

His mother, a resident of Bungoma county, moved heaven and earth to get help for her young son and her ill daughter.
