The Saika Estate community in Nairobi has been left reeling after a devastating incident in which three members of the same family died together.

According to The News Guy, the man’s woes began two years ago when he lost one of his children to cancer.

Heartbroken, he retreated to the village to engage in farming while his wife and remaining daughter moved to Saika,

He recently left home to visit them, only to be met by their lifeless bodies in the house, but details surrounding their cause of death remain in limbo.

Shattered by the tragic discovery, the man couldn’t stand the pain of losing two relatives at once. He died shortly after.

For several days, the three bodies remained in the Saika house until neighbours noticed there was a foul smell and went over to investigate.

The deceased were identified as Justus Wambua Kavyu, his wife Tabitha Kathini Wambua, and their daughter, Stacey Kiluti Wambua.

Investigations launched into death of The Kavyus

News of their passing has cast a deep shadow over relatives, friends, and the wider community, who described the family as warm, grounded, and closely knit.

Justus, remembered as a loving husband and devoted father, was the son of the late Wellington Kavyu Munyasya and the late Naomi Kiluti Kavyu of Nzatani, Migwani in Kitui County.

He leaves behind a grieving extended family, including his eight siblings.

Tabitha was mourned as a gentle and dedicated mother, while their daughter was eulogised as a kind soul who helped those around her.

Investigations are still ongoing to establish the exact circumstances.

As detectives continue piecing together what transpired, preparations for the family’s final journey are underway.

The cortege will leave KU Funeral Home on Saturday, November 22, for a funeral and burial service at their home in Nzatani, Migwani, Kitui County. May their souls rest in eternal peace.
