The children are from her previous marriage with Pastor Victor Kanyari, who has been vocal about his intention to take custody amid claims that others close to Betty might take the children in.

It is also worth noting that Betty was married to Hiram Gitau, popularly known as Tash, who also played a fatherly role to the kids.
Tash fuelled the social media debate after he was spotted with a city lawyer while the controversy over custody unfolded.
Has Kanyari bought a new house for the kids?
Despite the speculation, Pastor Kanyari appears determined to take custody of his kids.
During a sermon at his Salvation Healing Ministries Church on Sunday, November 16, he revealed that his home in Njiru is often crowded, as he enjoys having many people around, something Betty allegedly disliked, and his children reportedly do too.
The preacher shared that he has been house hunting in Runda to purchase a new home for himself and his kids, now that their mother, whom they lived with, is no more.
“Yesterday I was in Runda looking for a house to buy, and we found one going for KSh 90 million. It even has a swimming pool. I told those with me that it is the house I am going to buy. They even showed me another going for KSh 45 million, but I refused. I will buy the one going for KSh 90 million. My kids will be swimming there,” Kanyari said.

He further explained that he has not remarried yet, as he is being cautious about the woman he would bring into the home for his children.
