Her untimely death has also sparked debate over who will take custody of her children, Danivictor and Sky Victor.
Betty shared her children with her ex-husband, Pastor Victor Kanyari, but they sadly separated.
Notably, the singer found love again and married Hiram Gitau, alias Tash, with whom she had been living. The children shared a close bond with him.
Is Pastor Kanyari beefing with Tash?
During a recent sermon at his church, Pastor Kanyari addressed rumours of tension with Tash.
Contrary to speculation, he clarified that there is no conflict between them or with Betty’s family.
“I have not sat down with Tash or the family and had a disagreement. Right now, if Betty were to resurrect and find that we are fighting over the kids, she would be stunned. I am not beefing with anyone and there is no bad blood between me and anyone. I do not want to see anyone bashing that family,” Kanyari said.
The preacher also warned social media users against instigating drama, noting that Betty would never have approved of disputes over her children.

Who will take custody of Betty Bayo’s kids?
The kid’s custody debate intensified after Tash was spotted meeting with a city lawyer, prompting speculation that the discussion concerned the children.
However, the meeting was later clarified to be about a brand ambassadorial deal for Sky, not custody.
Despite this, many continued to speculate about the children’s future residence.
Pastor Kanyari has publicly expressed his willingness to take the kids in. The preacher revealed that he has secured a KSh 90 million mansion in Runda to provide a safe and comfortable home for them.
The preacher further emphasised his dedication to his children, highlighting the lengths he goes to ensure they are well-provided for.
“Whether they will give me the kids or not, only God knows what will happen, but I will fight for justice. Why do I toil so hard to get money? I even drive a Lexus; how would my kids go to a KSh 2,000 school? Right now, even if I were told they want to travel to America, I would pay. If I were not supporting those kids, do you think I would even attend her burial?”
