Betty suddenly died of blood cancer after being in the hospital for a very short time, as it took a long while to diagnose her. Susan and her mother were shattered when they learned she had passed away.
Before her premature death, Betty was planning to travel to the US, and her friends, who were speaking in the same service as her sister, said that she had told them to be on standby; she also asked what they wanted her to carry for them.
