Self-proclaimed prophet Victor Kanyari, who is mourning the demise of his former wife Betty Bayo, opened up about his church’s earnings from offerings.

In an interview, he was asked how much he pocketed from the well-known KSh 310 contributions.
What does Malachi 3:10 say?
He shared a rough estimate of the amount he received daily as people sent him money via M-Pesa.
He referenced Malachi 3:10, which reads: “Bring the full tithe into the storehouse… and put me to the test,” says the Lord of hosts, “if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no need,” according to the New International Version (NIV).
“Each day I would get between KSh 700,000 to KSh 1 million,” he calmly said.
He also proudly spoke about his church, claiming that on a good Sunday, he receives over 2,000 congregants.
Can prophet Kanyari heal sick people?
Kanyari said his people love him deeply and accept him as their prophet to lead them on their spiritual journey.
“I pray for them and they get healed from diseases of every kind. At the same time, some take me as their father because I help them with food and pay their rent,” he added.
When asked about his net worth, Kanyari laughed it off, saying he could not reveal the exact amount.
He stated that he could neither say he was rich nor poor; he was simply “in between.”

Why did Kanyari tell his congregants to pay KSh 300?
In another story, Kanyari instructed his devoted congregants to pay KSh 300 if they needed help.
The founder of Salvation Healing Church said the fee would make them officially recognised as members.
The ex-husband of musician Bayo made the controversial announcement during a service, causing confusion.
He said members who followed his instructions would be eligible for his personal assistance and support.
Kanyari added that individuals who were not registered in his church should seek help from their original churches.
He compared the system to a bank, saying that even those seeking assistance must have accounts with the financial institutions.
