Citizen TV journalist Jeff Koinange has been absent from the screen for several months, with no public appearances recently, leaving fans concerned about his silence.

Jeff has been missing from both his prime-time news program and his popular interview show, Jeff Koinange Live (JKL), since August 2025.
Neither Citizen TV nor the seasoned journalist has made any official statement regarding his absence, fuelling speculation on social media, with some even fearing the worst.
Where is Jeff Koinange?
Amid the viral rumours, a docket member of the Hot 96 FM breakfast show, which Jeff had been hosting, responded to the rumours and assured Kenyans that the media personality is well.
Speaking on Monday, November 25, on the radio show, Fanya Mambo said he had talked to Jeff on the previous day (Monday, November 24).
“This 25th of November 2025, take it from The Docket, take it from Fanya Mambo Kinuthia and all of us who talk to Jeff in a while. Jeff Koinange is alive and well. Jana tulichat. We talked to him, and he is okay. Avoid these rumours on social media. He doesn’t want to come and respond to every barking dog on the street,” Kinuthia responded.
Fanya Mambo Kinuthia’s message to fans concerned about Jeff Koinange
He admitted that he was getting many inquiries from concerned Kenyans and assured them that Jeff is okay.
Kinuthia urged Kenyans to ignore the baseless rumours.
“I’m getting many questions on social media. People are asking about Jeff Koinange, and I keep telling them that he is okay. We, as docket members we talk with him. We know he is okay. That nonsense should stop. They are the same people who were killing Kibaki before his time… They are bearers of bad news and that is what sells for them. As assurance, as docket members, we talk to Jeff and he is okay,” he said.
Jeff’s co-host, Patric Igunza, also approved the message.
“He is very much okay. Rumours always reflect more about the teller than the truth. The truth has no agenda, but rumours have many authors,” Igunza concluded.

On Thursday, November 24, social media personality Xtian Dela shared a WhatsApp conversation with Jeff to quell viral rumours about the veteran journalist.
The leaked WhatsApp chat confirmed that Jeff is alive and kicking, as he exactly responded to Della.
