“A drug courier’s daring attempt to slip into Kenya with a stomach full of cocaine ended at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, after sharp-eyed Anti-Narcotics Unit (ANU) detectives intercepted her moments after landing,” DCI reported.
The slueths reported that the woman, identified as 34-year-old Muli Ayan Ndunge, was stopped before she reached the baggage area.
Officers then escorted her to the Anti-Narcotics Unit offices inside the airport for what then looked like a routine medical observation.
Within minutes, Ndunge reportedly began to expel pellets packed with narcotics, with detectives counting fourteen pellets in the first round.
“The drug peddler, 34-year-old Muli Ayan Ndunge, had just touched down from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, when detectives, acting on precise intelligence, quietly closed in. She was escorted to the ANU offices for observation, and within minutes, the truth began to spill out, as she emitted 14 pellets of cocaine,” added DCI.

What is value of drugs found in Ndunge
Suspecting that there was more, the police officer maintained a tight watch, and soon another 14 pellets followed, bringing the tally to 28 pellets.
According to investigators, the combined weight was 912.74 grams, translating to a market value of approximately KSh 3,650,960.
Officers then took her for an X-ray scan to confirm nothing remained inside her abdomen, and the scan showed her digestive tract was clear, bringing the operation to its final stage.
“A subsequent X-ray scan later confirmed her abdomen was clean, sealing the case with clinical certainty,” DCI explained.
She remained in custody as investigators prepared charges against her while the police sustained appeals to Kenyans to help end the vice.
Woman found with narcotics at JKIA
As earlier reported, the Anti-Narcotics Unit have tracked similar cases linked to regional routes between East Africa and the Middle East.
On Saturday, October 4, a 41-year-old Nairobi woman, Anna Nekesa Kisaka, was arrested by DCI detectives at JKIA just minutes before her flight to Dubai, after she was found to be concealing cocaine pellets inside her body.
Authorities said she ingested three pellets of cocaine in an attempt to evade airport security during standard screening.
When further scanned, her deception was uncovered, and she was placed under medical supervision. Ultimately, she excreted the three pellets, confirming the smuggling attempt.
