At Lee, they were surrounded by ODM Party members who arrived in huge numbers to support their boss’ family.

“We are currently at Lee Funeral Home, where the remains of our dear sister, Beryl Achieng Odinga, are being preserved. Thank you to the friends and colleagues who have come to commiserate with us during this difficult time,” she captioned on her Facebook post.

However, what caught most people’s attention was Raila’s daughter, Winnie, who was captured hugging her cousins.

She was seen hugging one of Bery’s daughters and her last son, Tairei, leaving netizens sending messages of condolences.

Winnie was in a green t-shirt matching her hat, while her cousin, Tairai, was in blue denim jeans and a vintage shirt.

Who was Raila’s sister, Beryl?

In a separate report, Raila once introduced his sister, Beryl, during a political rally, and donned praises on her.

Although some of her siblings were in the political space, Beryl hardly made appearances in the rallies her family members attended.

The mother of three has in the past shared how she was the only child among her siblings in her father’s household who studied in a Kenyan university.

She also worked with her sister-in-law, Ida Odinga and other renowned politicians like James Orengo.

Beryl was also a trained lawyer who, according to Raila, married a politician before their marriage ended.
