In an exclusive interview with TUKO.co.ke, Catherine revealed that she and her ex-husband got married in 1994.

They had a traditional wedding, and later they were blessed with two children, a boy and a girl.

“It was a good marriage for me I saw that I had everything in this world. I was employed in Barclays Bank from 1990. I was established back then. I bought many properties while married. We got children almost immediately. The firstborn in 1995, and the second-born in 1997.”

Catherine claimed that she never thought her husband would turn his back on her, claiming that he wrote his name on the title deeds.

She further added that he moved to the US in 2001, a few years after they tied the knot. Catherine alleged that she financially supported her ex to get a visa and even relocate abroad.

The woman was denied a visa, and she admitted that it affected her mentally. When her sister-in-law moved in with her she revealed that it was the beginning of all her troubles.

“I supported him through everything and in every way. Unfortunately, I was denied a visa, and after some time I became depressed,” she said.

The lady was still living with her children, who were still in primary school.

She accused her sister-in-law of hiding her passport and documents while they lived together.

Catherine claimed that her children were manipulated to leave her and live with their paternal grandmother.

“My daughter is a bit special, not so much. You can easily influence her mind. That is where they started telling them to get out of my house and to live with their grandmother. They used to get out of school, and they would not want to sleep in their own bedrooms; they would sleep with me. I do not know what they were told. When they got to secondary school, that is when they took over,” she said.

At times when she would visit her daughter, allegedly she would be told to hide from her.

Her son reportedly tried to contact and visit his mother and maternal grandparents until he cleared high school.

“They did not use force. It was manipulation. My son resisted for a long time until he got from Form Three to Form Four. You see, they were being threatened that if they don’t go to the village, he won’t pay their fees. He would also try to come to where I was,” she said.

Catherine claimed that she did not know when her children travelled to the US and only learnt about it after.

“He told me that he wanted them to study whenever I would initiate communication. From 2015 to 2016 thereabout. He would say that he does not want for my children to be disturbed,” she said.

The lady claimed that she and Muthoni were family friends, and her ex-husband had told her about his plans to remarry.

Muthoni has responded to Catherine’s claims via her YouTube channel. The woman’s children also spoke about their estranged relationship with their mother.

The young lady (Catherine’s daughter) claimed that her mother used to deny her food, and they had a strained relationship.

She asked her mother to stop posting videos on social media.

“I have come here to speak about my mum’s search for me. I have come to speak because I am not happy about what mum is saying. I am asking mum to remember where we left things and how I went to town and you beat me and denied me food several times and you came to my grandmother’s house and tried to pull me away. There was a meeting, and they asked you to take me to school, and you did not in 2012. You never came for me. You said that you’ll be coming to pick me up in school, and you never did. You left me there, and the school had to give me fare. Please leave social media things alone,” she said.

The woman’s son also asked their mum to stop creating videos on social media, adding that he was working in the US.

“She kicked me out and called the chief on me in 2013. I was working a walking distance from where she lived, and there was no contact. I did not want to contact her. My dad has been telling me to contact her. Jane has also been telling me to contact her,” he said.
