Obidan Dela has visited Chokoza musician Marya at her home weeks after she was hospitalised again.

Marya was hospitalised earlier in the year after suffering a stroke that nearly claimed her life. The musician was with her child when the incident occurred.

What happened to Marya?

She was seated in her sitting room holding her lastborn when the incident occurred. She dropped her son to the floor, and she tried to pick him up.

When she stood up, Marya fell to the floor, and she could not move. Luckily, her househelp was around, and she called the musician’s cousin.

She was rushed to the hospital, and immediately, the doctor asked her whether she knew what had happened to her.

The Chokoza hitmaker said that she could not feel movement on one side of her body and immediately knew she had suffered a stroke.

She recently revealed that she had been rushed back to the hospital after collapsing and asked for financial assistance.

TikToker Obidan Dela, in an exclusive interview with TUKO.co.ke, asked Kenyans to support Marya.

He also revealed that he was planning a day when Kenyans and musicians could visit her to support her.

“Please let us come through for her in her hour of need. I hope we can all plan a day to go see her,” he said.

Dela also shared a clip on his TikTok page, urging Kenyans to support the musician financially

“Guys, I’m with Marya here. I know guys remember her Chokoza hit song she sang with Avril in the past. Marya has been sick; you can explain it to them. Millennials, you can all remember her, and she needs medical attention. She is a mother, and in her situation, she can’t work. If you would like to support her, her number is 0719210779,” he said.
