Kenyans congratulate Boyd Were

Many commented on how Were’s spirit continues to live on through Boyd’s victory, with supporters expressing hope for a united and developmental future for Kasipul.

Samson Ochieng’ Otieno:

“Happy for Boyd, though he will work for only a quarter of a term. 2027 is where the real challenge begins, as everyone will be fighting for their seat. One thing I can be sure of is that Boyd should ensure he finishes the projects his father started. However, if he joins the ODM choir, he might struggle in 2027. But for now, it’s a done deal—let’s start preparing for 2027 by working smart.”

Why was Kasipul MP seat vacant?

Previously, TUKO.co.ke reported that the Kasipul MP seat became vacant after Boyd’s father was brutally murdered.

He was shot dead by men riding a motorbike who reportedly trailed him from Parliament. Several people were arrested, including Aroko, who was later released and joined the race for the Kasipul constituency seat.

The ODM party nominated Were’s son and campaigned for him to maintain their dominance in the area.
