The preacher seemingly turned over a new leaf after her unsavoury images leaked on social media. She focused on ministering and, earlier this year, marked a new chapter by opening her own church.

She shared the milestone on Instagram, posting photos of her commissioning ceremony, where Bishop Mwangi Zakayo and other church leaders prayed over her and blessed her new calling.

Why did Mary Lincon’s garment bother Kenyans?

Mary appeared emotional during the ceremony, grateful for the opportunity to expand God’s kingdom and honoured by the support and guidance she received, committing to uphold the church’s vision and continue spreading the gospel with dedication and humility.

Her church has steadily grown since then, but her attire left fans questioning the symbolism.

A photo shared by the preacher on Thursday, November 27, showed her kneeling at the pulpit. She looked up to the heavens while lifting her hands.

However, her robe caught the attention of Kenyans.

The blue-and-white outfit featured a figure that many had difficulty identifying. Her robe depicted a cross with a flying figure above it. The figure had its wings spread and a halo above its head.

However, many said it did not look like a dove, a bird that symbolises peace, purity, and the Holy Spirit.
