MP Silvanus Osoro has mourned the death of his ‘brother’ with a tearjerking message.

The politician and Stephen Gitau Ndirangu were great friends, and he considered him a brother. He revealed that his ‘brother’ was battling cancer.

How did Osoro mourn his ‘brother’?

Osoro shared a photo of Ndirangu hanging out during happier times. The politician admitted that he had been in denial ever since he learnt about his friend’s death.

He revealed that he last talked with Ndirangu a month ago, and their discussion still lingered in his mind.

“Just like many people who knew you, I have been in denial of your demise. My brother Steve (Stewan), yours hit so many of us differently. How quickly this monster called cancer took you, bro, is still shocking! I last talked to you when we were in India together, like a month ago, and the words you told me they still linger in my mind,” he said.

He accompanied his message with an obituary, admitting that seeing his friend in the newspaper confirmed his passing.

“Seeing you on paper today confirms that indeed you are gone! Go well, bro! We will dearly miss your wisdom kwa chama zetu na urafiki wa maana! RIP,” he added.

The obituary shared by Osoro showed that he left behind a loving wife and three children.

“It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Stephen Gitau Ndirangu. He was the son of the late Zachariah Ndirangu and the late Grace Wangari. He was the beloved husband of Philomena Wambui Gitau. He was a loving father of Grace Wangari, Alex Ndirangu, Janet Wairimu and Allan Kageche.”

Steve had five siblings, and he was loved by many.

“He was the brother of Francis Mugo, Josephine Njoki, Peninah Wanjiru, Hannah Nduta and Charles Njuguna. He was the son-in-law of the late Moses Kageche and Grace Wairimu. He was a grandfather of Malcom Kamwara and Steve Gitau. He was a brother-in-law, uncle and cousin to many.”

His family and friends are meeting at his home in Muthithi home, Kianda Drive, and his burial will take place on December 2 in Sigona.

“Family and friends are meeting daily at his Muthithi home, Kianda Drive, at 4:00pm and at Clarion Hotel Nairobi at 6:00pm for prayers and burial arrangements. The cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral home Mbagathi Way, on Tuesday, December 2, at 8:00 a.m for burial at his home in Sigona, opposite Sigona Golf Club, at 10:30am. There will be a memorial service at PCEA Thindigua on Sunday, November 30, starting at 3:00 pm. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”

What happened to Betty Bayo?

In other news, musician Betty Bayo passed away from blood cancer.

Her family and friends expressed devastation after her passing.

She was later laid to rest in Kiambu county.
