Betty Bayo’s daughter, Sky, has broken down while bidding farewell to her mother’s long-term friend, Shiru Stuart.

Shiru, a gospel singer, flew in from the UK with her two children for Betty’s burial. She had been a source of support for Betty’s children and her widower, Tash, but the time came to say goodbye.
On Friday, November 28, Shiru shared a video parting ways with Betty’s children at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
How did Betty Bayo’s daughter tell Shiru Stuart goodbye?
The video shows the group arriving at the airport in a vehicle. Sky was comfortably dressed in a striped pair of trousers and a big hoodie while she warmly embraced Shiru for a long time.

Shiru then hugged Tash and Wanja Nyarari, who had gone to see them off.
Shiru picked up Danny and embraced him before the boy helped push the luggage towards the boarding area.
Emotions ran high as the kids hugged each other in a circle, with Danny and Sky holding on to Shiru’s son. At some point, Sky appeared to cry while saying goodbye.
“This was the moment we were all not looking forward to. The moment we had to say goodbye. It was honestly heartbreaking.
We must have said goodbye at least 10 times, hugging, walking away, then coming back again for more hugs. It was so hard to leave.”
According to Shiru, the children begged her to extend their stay so they could remain a bit longer.
“If it were up to our hearts, we would have stayed. But as you all know, Maina, Kyla, and Mso are in school, and they’ve already missed two weeks.
And we also wanted to give you space as a family to mourn, to breathe, and to slowly take in the reality of what has happened.”
Shiru noted that while leaving was painful, they would continue to pray for the family.
“We will always stand with you,” she declared.

Before leaving, Shiru and Betty’s families went to Naivasha for a vacation.
A video from the getaway showed Sky chatting with Shiru’s daughter while Danny played with her son.
At one point, Shiru’s son threw Danny into the pool, much to his delight.
Danny later held onto a swim tube as Shiru’s son pulled him through the water.
In her caption, Shiru shared her heavy heart about returning to the UK.
