Who was Maurice Ogeta to Raila?
Ogeta worked for Raila for over 18 years and was among the last people to see the former prime minister alive; a video shows the beloved politician walking around the hospital with his bodyguard following him in close proximity.
When Raila died, Ogeta was devastated, and it was visible when he was joined by government officials and the politician’s relatives to take him back home in a coffin.

He had the same look at parliament when dignitaries were viewing Raila’s body and caught the eye of President William Ruto, who felt compassion towards him.
Ogeta has been keeping a low profile, which is a testament to how life changed for him after the death of his boss.
However, on November 29, he led his family in visiting the grave of the national hero, and he seemed quite affected.
