Eldoret, Kenya: Friends and family of Professor Wilson Yaban have been thrown into mourning after they learnt that he had passed away.

Yaban was an alumnus of Tenwek High School, and people who went through that school have mourned him in large numbers.
“We are sending our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Professor Wilson Yaban, an alumnus of Tenwek High School, who passed away last week at an Eldoret hospital,” said the school on their Facebook page.
A towering academic giant, Yaban, attended Egerton College and graduated with a Diploma in Range Science, earning a Distinction.
What was Wilson Yaban’s education?
Yaban also attended New Mexico State University for BSc studies, a Master’s at Utah State University, and a PhD at Illinois State University.
“He had the longest teaching experience at Egerton and Moi Universities and served as the Principal of Moi University, Mombasa Campus,” said the school.
“May his soul rest in eternal peace,” read another part.
How did Kenyans mourn Wilson Yaban?

Moi University mourns 2 lecturers

In another story, Moi University community had to grapple with the death of two of their lecturers who died in separate incidents.
Justus Wamukoya died after an overnight stay at the Eldoret Hospital; until his death, he was dealing with Archival Science and was the dean of the School of Information Sciences.
On the other hand, Timothy Sulo, dean at the School of Agriculture and Natural Resources, also breathed his last.
