Kenyan musician Kevin Bahati has broken his silence after a woman, Judith Makokha, who claimed to be his mother, surfaced.

The woman in a viral TikTok video demanded that she and the musician undergo a DNA test, claiming to be his mother.
Baha has been open over the years about growing up as an orphan and the various challenges he faced living in an orphanage.

She noted that it was all part God’s plan for Bahati to be successful.
“Bahati, I am asking for your forgiveness. Although you were told that your mother had died. I took you to a children’s home, and the reason why I took you there is that I did not have the ability to raise you. I saw the kind of life I was living, and I knew I would lose you. You can never know God’s plan. He had plans for you. See if you lived the other life, we would have lost you. That’s why I took you to a children’s home,” she said.
The lady asked for Bahati’s forgiveness and requested him to look for her, adding that they would conduct a DNA test.
“I am asking for your forgiveness, and come look for me, please, even if we have to do a DNA test. You are my child. I see you on TV, and it bothers me how I will find you. It was by chance that I saw this pastor, and I asked him to help me. Bahati, I’m asking you to look for me,” she said.
The musician has responded, adding that he saw his mother being buried years ago, but he admitted that the woman’s message had confused him.
He asked for advice from his fans about what he should do.

Kenyans on social media were sceptical after Bahati’s response, with others adding that it could be a clout-chasing gimmick.
Most of his fans thought that Bahati might be using the moment to release yet another song.

Irene was a trusted house help in the Bahatis’ household, and when she left, many Kenyans wondered whether it was on good terms.
