Eric Omondi Says He and Jacque Maribe Won’t Speak About Son in Interviews

Comedian Eric Omondi has opened up about his co-parenting relationship with journalist Jacque Maribe.

The comedian and Jacque share a son, but in the recent past, Omondi had claimed that he was not the biological father.

What happened between Eric and Maribe?

Eric’s conflicting statements in the past left his fans and followers confused. In 2021, he made an Instagram post suggesting that he was not the father.

Maribe had baptised the comedian a deadbeat father, alleging that he was not supporting their son.

The father of two had previously revealed that the journalist had denied him and his son the opportunity to take a DNA test.

In 2021, Eric said that he was willing to take care of the young boy if the journalist was willing to conduct a DNA test.

The comedian and Maribe met in 2012 while working at Radio Africa Group. He was working at Radio Jambo and Maribe at Kiss TV.

During a recent interview on the Iko Nini podcast, Eric spoke about the matter and how he and the journalist had resolved it.

Eric said that Maribe asked him not to air their dirty laundry on social media.

“We met at Radio Jambo she was at Kiss TV. We were besties. Jacque is my boy even till date we are boys. On co-parenting it’s going on well I spoke with her yesterday or today. There is alot to this story until there was a time I called her and told her that we should assume the story. She told me ‘Eric I should not see you on Mpasho or Pulse.’ We agreed that we will not talk about it,” he said

The activist admitted that the wrangles they were having on social media would one day affect their son.

“We had that conversation because we were doing a lot of damage. Then that kid is growing up and he will see all of these. So she called me, and she said, ‘let’s agree on one thing,’ and there is a story she and I know. We also have our fights. So I promised her I would not talk,” he said.

How many kids does Eric Omondi have?

In other news, Eric has two kids, one with Maribe and the second one with his ex, Lynne Njihia.

The comedian and Lynne parted ways in 2025, but they continue to co-parent their adorable daughter.

Eric and Lynne welcomed their first child together in 2023, and the comedian shared photos while with her in the maternity ward.

The two were considered couple goals by their fans before they decided to split. Eric has, however, maintained his love for his daughter through the years.
