In a world where celebrities have been flaunting their houses and automobiles, Nviiri is proving that the minimalist lifestyle is what is working for him.
Why did Nviiri The Storyteller leave Nairobi?
In an interview with the Iko Nini Podcast, Nviiri revealed that she chose to move out of the capital city to Limuru, which has elevated the quality of life he is living.

“I said I needed an environment to step back a little bit and focus. It is like football, you may think you are playing a great game, but there is someone off the pitch who is seeing some space somewhere. So when you step away, you can see a lot of things slowing down. It was the art of slowing things down,” he said.
He shared that his experience living in Karen also helped him prepare for the transition, especially now that he is thinking of having a family.
The Pombe Sigara hitmaker also showed the phone he is now using, which has no way of connecting to the internet. When asked why he chose to use such a phone, he said:
“Funny enough, most of these decisions are just things I prayed about. I wanted the will to leave the things that were distracting me. We have stayed on Instagram from morning till evening. You lose time watching movies, and I have seen a lot of distractions happen online. So if you have to protect your mind, you have to figure out what you are putting in your mind.”
Nviiri added that he has a great team that handles all his social media, so he hardly checks what is happening online.
“You lose out on a lot around you just because you are on your phone,” he said.

Who is Nviiri’s manager?
Nviiri changed his management in 2024 and brought in his girlfriend, Maisha Wirth, as his manager after leaving Sol Generation.
Nviiri also brought on an international manager, Jamie Alderson, to strengthen his global reach and push his music beyond Kenya.
The Niko Sawa hitmaker clarified that his relationship with the Sol family remains intact, noting that the only difference now is that he is operating independently.
