When was Joshua Kerai abducted?
Kerai was violently abducted on November 4 when assailants pounced on him and forced him into a maroon Toyota Ractis, registration number KCP 816F.
Inside the vehicle, he endured a harrowing ordeal as the kidnappers drove him around before abandoning him at Sahara Petrol Station in Kutus Town.
A good Samaritan rescued him and rushed him to Kerugoya Catholic Hospital, where he received medical treatment.
The DCI had earlier arrested two suspects in the case, who were arraigned before the Gichugu Law Courts on November 25, 2025.
Muriuki, who had evaded arrest for weeks, was finally flushed out and taken into custody. He is currently being processed ahead of his court appearance.
“Muriuki, who has been slipping through the shadows, was flushed out and arrested for his role in the kidnapping of Mr. Joshua Kerai,” DCI reported.
Detectives confirmed that investigations are ongoing as they tighten the net on a fourth suspect still at large.
