Betty Bayo’s friend has thrown a spanner in the works amid an ongoing tussle between the late gospel singer’s mother and her partner, Tash.

Betty’s mother sparked controversy after revealing disturbing details about the singer’s death.
In a TikTok Live session, Joyce Wairimu, who is based in the US, claimed that her daughter suffered in her marriage before passing away.
Wairimu demanded a post-mortem to determine the true cause of Bayo’s death and questioned the handling of her daughter’s belongings, including her ID and burial permit.

Amid the drama, film producer Priscilla Ndanu shared never-before-seen images of Betty and Tash bonding at their home.
In a Sunday, December 7 post, Ndanu said she walked into Betty’s home and found Tash applying a mask to her face.
“Very sweet. I laughed – I had to take pics. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a man who decides to love and honour his wife daily in all ways to the very end. And that includes keeping the promise of taking care of her children, whom they raised together as husband and wife with all factors considered,” said Ndanu.
Ndanu, who backed Tash amid the onslaught, said that Betty had given up on finding true love and getting married until meeting him. According to Ndanu, most Kenyan men would not marry a woman with children.
“A man who trusted and invested in the love of his life and pushed and believed in her dreams. One who chooses to live a full life and embrace everything.”
She then accused unnamed persons of taking advantage of grief to turn Betty’s loved ones against each other.
“Let’s normalise that good men exist and they can love and want to do right by you. Betty always said, Ndanu, love will find you when you least expect.”
The director said that Betty described Tash as a blessing, as he was ready to invest in her.
